Postdoctoral Research Associate
Systems Software Research Group
Several postdoctoral positions are available in the Systems Software Research Group at Virginia Tech on projects involving developing innovative operating system and virtualization systems for emerging architectures and platforms, from node-scale to rack-scale. The project aims to develop scalable, energy-efficient, and secure OS/virtualization systems, and contribute to open-source and experimental projects.
Recent computer science or computer engineering PhD graduates with background in virtualization, operating systems, and systems software security are sought. Proven programming expertise with open-source OS/hypervisors and run-time infrastructures (e.g., Linux kernel, Xen, KVM, etc) is required. The position is for two years minimum, with strong possibilities for additional years. There are no teaching obligations. For the right candidate, a research faculty position (e.g., Research Assistant Professor) may also be possible. Contact Prof. Binoy Ravindran with a CV or for any questions.
