Dear All,
In the context of education activities on Quantum, University Côte d’Azur (https://univ-cotedazur.fr/quantazur) is organizing with the support of the European network EIT Digital a summer school on Quantum Computation and information for the week of 16-21 of June 2024 in Nice Valrose, in the heart of French Riviera.
EIT Digital is an European network of universities, companies and research institutes working together around digital training, innovation and entrepreneurship projects. The school is adressed to master's or doctoral students as well as to young professionals who are not specialized in the Quantum; the scope is to make them aware of scientific and economical potential of quantum industry as well as of challenges linked to the deployment of new quantum technologies.
The school will be articulated around two axes: a) theoretical classes , practical works on Python and student group-working, progressively moving from basic quantum information to applied topics such as solving optimisation and machine learning problems using quantum algorithms or quantum communication and networks ; b) multiple sessions devoted to European entrepreneurship in quantum, with presentations and Q&A sessions with european industrial actors active on quantum development as well as on applications of quantum to business use cases.

Students from Universities members of the EIT-Digital network benefit from a 50% reduction on the inscription fee (to be specified at the inscription moment). The partners' list can be found at the end of this message. The school provides a work amount equivalent to 2 ECTS.

The deadline is the 1st of June. Due to the limited number of places (45 in total), we encourage you to proceed with your inscription as soon as possible. The inscription covers lunches, coffee breaks and all social activities. The school organization can help students find an accommodation in Nice. Upon demand, room sharing with other conference participants is in principle possible.
